Employee Of The Year 2008
Belated congratulations to Mike Newton for being voted employee of the year for 2008. As usual, the voting was very close but Mike won by a small margin.
Mike heads up our Maintenance Department alongside Dave McDonald and works alongside the other ‘backroom boys’, Tommy Lough, Barney Dalton, Ray Makin & Roy Fallon to ensure the smooth running of or plant and facilities.
Mike has been at HMG for 21 years and gained experience working alongside HMG Legends, such as the late Tommy Wright and ‘Big’ Frank Williams.
Mike is described on the voting papers as being conscientious, hard-working and always willing to help. Others have made mention that he is quiet and unassuming, a trail that is definitely not inherited from his father, John!!
Mike you thoroughly deserve to be Employee of the Year for 2008.
