Safety and Compliancy
Legislation features highly on the agenda of anyone involved with paints and surface coatings. The safety of those who use our products and the protection of the wider environment are a great concern to HMG. Without question, we will fulfil our legal obligations to our customers, supplying them with regulatory information on the products they use.
As you would expect at HMG, we like to do more and we have a justifiably excellent reputation with our customers and regulatory authorities. We lobby the Government and Local Authorities, participate actively in trade associations and business groups and even act as experts in litigation and enforcement.
What we won't do
We have spent considerable energies so far, describing what we will willingly do for our customers, however, there are a few things that we will not do and a few others that we would be highly reluctant to tackle. Highly toxic coatings containing high levels of mercury and tin have never been part of our product portfolio; similarly flammable but low odour solvents that are hard to detect are not generally available from HMG.
Perhaps less critical but no less emotional, we do not put our name to cleverly written “lifetime guarantees”, nor loophole-infested product warranties. More to the point, if we would not use a product ourselves, then we will never supply it to our customers.
