At HMG we passionately believe the coatings industry is without question, one of the greatest environmental activists in the world today! Paints, above all else, protect and prolong the life span of quite literally, billions of everyday objects made from non-renewable or from dwindling resources, by simply putting a thin coat of an HMG product to a surface made of wood, steel or any number of other materials, the life of the coated object will have been considerably extended.
How far can you go on 30 litres?
It takes just over 30 litres of paint to completely coat and protect a double decker bus from many years of service life; the same amount of diesel fuel propelling that vehicle just over 80 miles and ** litres of engine oil protecting the motor for under 6 months.
A Case Study
Nearly half a century has passed since our first tree planting took place, quietly attempting to enhance our own working environment. The purchase of land to plant a meadow could be described as a flora and fauna field day!! Plant a few thousand more native trees, put in some hedgerows and a pond and it becomes a botanical bonanza! These verdant delights are not merely for the benefit of our own staff, the “New Era Woods”, (named after the original New Era Works factory) is open to the public and has proved an invaluable educational resource and outdoor classroom to local schools - not so much a blackboard jungle as a blackboard woodland.
